Average NFL Ticket Price Increases to $72

Team Marketing Report has released its survey of NFL ticket prices for the 2008 season. 

The average NFL Ticket this year will be approximately $72 almost an 8% increase over 2007 ticket prices. 

According to the study, NFL ticket prices have risen over $5 for the fourth consecutive season.  Average ticket prices do not include premium seating. 

The New England Patriots have the NFL’s most expensive average ticket price at $117, a 29% increase over the previous season.  Premium seats for the Patriots average $566 each.

Dallas Cowboys New Stadium Tickets

This NFL season will be the last season the Dallas Cowboys play at Texas Stadium in Irving, Texas. Texas Stadium opened in 1971 and cost $35 million to build. The Dallas Cowboys New Stadium will cost over $1 billion. Designed to seat well over 80,000, the new stadium will play host the 2011 NFL Super Bowl and ticket prices for the best seats reportedly will skyrocket.

In their last season at Texas Stadium, the Dallas Cowboys will host the Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, Cincinnati Bengals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, New York Giants and Baltimore Ravens. The December 20th game versus the Ravens will be the Cowboys’ last regular season game at Texas Stadium ever.

NFL KICKOFF WEEKEND ONE WEEK AWAY

The kickoff of the 2008 NFL Football regular season begins on Thursday, September 4th when the 2008 Super Bowl champion New York Giants host the Washington Redskins next Thursday night.
