CHEAP FOOTBALL TICKETS

Brett Favre gets traded to the New jork Jets and an irrational exuberance occurs and manifests itself in dramatically higher Jets ticket prices. 

Face value tickets to the NY Jets home opener vs the New England Patriots (face value $104) jumped from under $200 to around $400 pretty much overnight.  Pitty the poor ticket scalper who overslept and sold Jets tickets at pre-Favre prices.

Can Favre really turn around the Jets enought to justify those ticket price increases?  Probably not. 

Is Favre that much of a celebrity brand name?  Are Jets fans desperate for something to cheer for? 

The announcement of Favre becoming QB of the Jets came on the same day as the NFL opened its own ticket scalping exchange place. 

The NFL has launched an official NFL secondary ticket marketpace through a partnership with long hated corporation Ticketmaster.  Watch out ticket scalpers, the NFL wants your profit.

Tickets for NFL teams the Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Oakland Raiders and Atlanta Falcons will be available on sale this weekend.  The best way to get the cheapest NFL tickets is to buy directly from the team on Ticketmaster.

The Denver Broncos have released another batch of available tickets for the 2008 NFL season.
